• Will my email address change?
  • Absolutely not. Email addresses and passwords will not change during the migration.
• Will I need to change any settings on my computer?
  • No. Changes to your computer will in almost all cases be unnecessary. You should only make changes to your account after calling and speaking with a GOIN Customer Care specialist.
• I use Outlook or Outlook Express to access my email. Will I need to change any settings on my computer?
  • No. Changes to your computer will in almost all cases be unnecessary. You should only make changes to your account after calling and speaking with a GOIN Customer Care specialist.
• I use GOIN WebMail to access my email. Will WebMail still be available?
  • Yes, but the interface will change. WebMail users will have the most to gain from this migration as the new interface will boast a more modern look, advanced functionality, more ability to customize your settings, and better performance.
• My company's email addresses are hosted with GOIN. Will we be affected by this change?
  • Companies whose email addresses are hosted with GOIN will undergo the same changes as those users who have a getgoin.net email address. These company email accounts will be subject to the same changes as outlined above.
• I received a notice in my email stating that GOIN needed my account information to assist with this migration. Should I send the information to you?
  • NO! GOIN will never ask you to provide your account information to us. Since we already have this information on file, there is no need for us to ask you for it. These emails are attempts by SPAMmers to maliciously obtain your email account information so that they can use your account to send SPAM through our email systems.
• Why is GOIN migrating the email systems to Zimbra?
  • A wise one once said, “The only thing constant in life is change.” This couldn't be more true than in the field of Internet technologies. The email platform that GOIN uses to host it's email services is well over ten years old. Technologically speaking, that's ancient! The continued decline in overall performance and the clamor for modern features has necessitated this change.
